The company was founded by the late Ezra Itshaky, who began his career as a certified surveyor at the Tel Aviv Municipality. As one of the pioneers and most prominent figures in the field in Israel, he laid the foundations for the company's long-standing reputation for quality and professionalism.
Over the years, the company has gained extensive experience in executing complex and exceptional development, construction, and infrastructure projects throughout the country. The company specializes in earthworks and site development; the installation of water, sewage, drainage, and communication infrastructures; as well as tunneling and pipe jacking (for diameters ranging from 400 mm to 3,100 mm). By utilizing advanced technologies, E.R Itshaky ensures highly precise execution in dense urban areas—without disrupting daily life or the surrounding environment.

The late Ezra Yitzhaki was born in Iraq in 1940 and immigrated to Israel at the age of 12. Even as a young boy, he possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and a forward-thinking mind. He arrived with nothing—no property and no financial backing—but was armed with vision, determination, and a fierce desire to build a future for himself.
From a young age, Ezra stood out for his technical talent, precision, and sharp engineering mind. Over the years, he learned and advanced professionally, starting his career as a surveyor for the Tel Aviv Municipality. There, he gained extensive professional experience and developed a deep passion for civil engineering and infrastructure.
In 1971, equipped with knowledge, courage, and faith, he decided to embark on an independent path and founded E.R. Itshaky Ltd. He started from scratch—literally. Through hard work, diligence, integrity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, he transformed the company into an industry leader. Ezra believed deeply in giving back and helping others. He had a unique ability to truly see the person in front of him and understand their needs—often going above and beyond what was expected. He possessed a natural calmness, inner peace, and a confident presence. These qualities allowed him to lead people, manage teams, and face challenges with a quiet yet powerful strength.

Following the passing of Ezra, the company’s leadership was entrusted to his son, Yaki Itshaky. Yaki grew up in the business, gaining hands-on experience at every level of operation—from the construction site to executive management.
Today, serving as CEO and Owner, Yaki continues to advance the company with the same spirit of innovation, quality, and operational excellence instilled by his father.
Yaki views his work as a true engineering mission: to provide smart, creative, and precise solutions to complex challenges in the field, driven by a genuine passion for the profession.
